Legion Park

Legion Park

The City of Sigourney would like to give a big thank you to the Sigourney High School art students that worked on the Legion Park lion drinking fountain.  Our featured photo shows Water/Wastewater Superintendent and Pool Director, Don Northup,  super excited to have the lion back!

Did you you know that Legion Park has shelters available for rent? You can make a reservation to rent a shelter by contacting the City Clerk’s office. Reservations must be made 48 hours before the requested time.  Refunds of reservation fees may be issued only when cancellations are made at least five days prior to the date of reservations. Refunds will not be made from bad weather. Trash receptacles are provided and all trash is to be placed in them. Please collect any waste that blows into the park area surrounding the shelter. Tables and floor must be free of debris and all tables must be returned to the cover of the shelter. We have shelters to accomodate groups as large as 125 people. Four of the five shelters have electricity available.

Legion Park offers a variety of playground equipment and activities for all ages! The park is open from daily from dawn to 10:30 pm. We hope you can make it out this spring for an afternoon of fun!
