National Night Out
The Sigourney Police Department and Police Auxiliary is sponsoring the fifth annual National Night Out. National Night Out is scheduled for August 5th from 5-8 pm on the Sigourney square. Last year was a huge success. With your help we hope to continue this family oriented night out.
National Night Out (NNO) is “America’s Night Against Crime.” Communities across the country celebrate with a variety of different events and activities. NNO is designated to heighten crime and drug prevention awareness, strengthen neighborhood spirit and togetherness, and build police-community partnership.
In order to have another successful event we need your help. We are looking for organizations, businesses, churches, etc. to participate and either have a booth with an activity and/or make a donation. Your booth could promote your business or organization but please make the activity the main focus. Any family friendly or educational activity is encouraged. Donations can be anything from money to purchase prizes, promotional items from your business or organization, or your time and assistance in organizing this event. Booth registration and participation is free of charge but you must register. We also need a variety of food vendors. Last year we provided free entertainment which was enjoyed by many.
We look forward to hearing from you and look forward to seeing you, your family, business or organization on August 5th. You can begin to register at any time, but for planning purposes please register your booth, activity or entertainment by Friday, June 27, 2014. Please contact Mallary Snakenberg at the Sigourney Police Department if you have any additional questions. Donations and registrations can be sent by mail to the Sigourney Police Department at 100 North Main St., Sigourney, IA 52591 or placed in the City Hall drop box.
If you have any questions or would like more information, please contact Mallary at firstname.lastname@example.org.
